Grading: Chem 202

Your grade will be determined by your performance on midterm exams, the final exam, and homework assignments. The relative contribution of each is given below.

Exams (3) 48% (16% each)
Homework 12%
Writing Assignments 12%
Final Exam 28%

Exams (3) 42% (14% each)
Homework 8%
Writing Assignment 8%
Final Exam 22%
Laboratory 20%

Absence from an exam will not be excused without a valid reaon. Conflicts with legitimate co-curricular activities can be resoved by taking the exam early. Late exams will not be allowed unless under exceptional circumstances, such as medical or family emergencies.

The final exam is cumulative.

Assigned homework must be turned in at the beginning of class on the due date. Late homework will not be accepted, but considerations will be made for medical or family emergency. Please note that the assigned homework represents the minimum expectation for practice problem solving. There are many other practice exercises in the book.
