[SC-pod] Fwd: 2009 POD Conference Call for Proposals: Deadline in One Week (April 6)

I would love to collaborate with someone else on an analytic exploration 
of one of the two issues I'm working on here in the same project. My 
2-year assignment to explore, design, and start to implement a model for 
faculty development at Ithaca College was reduced to one year with no 
immediate chance for staffing. So the model I am exploring has these two 
aspects that differ from what we do now (whatever I can do while 
teaching four courses.)

   1. Create the Ithaca Faculty Commons through which all activities
      that relate to faculty development would be channeled, even while
      supported by their existing administrative structure. The idea
      being to make visible and central what we do even if we can't do
      more. So if you are moving to broaden your center from T&L, or if
      you are exploring the scope or depth of a new or reframed center,
      we could design an analysis around those issues.
   2. Enhance our current face to face activities through a much more
      robust web design. So the Ithaca Faculty Commons would be a
      virtual portal for faculty. If you already have this kind of
      design or are moving in that direction, we could work around that.

Of course, in October I won't have data about ours except from our needs 
assessment but it could be a focus of analysis in any case.
