Sylvanna M. Falcón joined the Sociology Department at Connecticut College in Fall 2007.

She taught several courses for the Sociology Department at the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB) from 2002-2007.

She received her Ph.D. in Sociology with a doctoral emphasis in Women’s Studies in 2006 from UCSB.

Her areas of expertise are race/ethnic relations, gender, feminism, human rights, United Nations, and globalization.
