“Listening Sites: Tracking Places” was part of the 2007 Göteborg (Sweden) International Biennial for Contemporary Art and was realized during a sabbatical residency at the Konstepidemin art studios in the Spring of 2007.
Weir Farm

“Weir Farm” was commissioned by the Connecticut Commission on the Arts and realized during a one year fellowship at the Weir Farm Art Center in Wilton, Connecticut.

Are you sleeping?
2005
“Are you sleeping?” features a series of visually processed manipulations of an alphabet-based code. The code symbols include small colorful pieces of children's jewelry and toys.
Transient Spaces
2004
“Transient Spaces” includes a video work and wall-mounted grids of video stills. Footage of people in train stations and malls interacts with a text about train travel and imagery shot out of train windows; the video is extensively processed and organized into vignettes that gradually coalesce like an Altman film.
Memory Markers
St. Lo, France, 2004
“Memory Markers” examines the use of GPS to create site-specific artwork of Saint-Lo, France resulting in cartographic drawings, specific waypoints and related narratives. The dissemination of this work makes visible new ways of visualizing public and private places as well as specific characteristics of the local area.
Sound Carries in Water

“Sound Carries in Water” is a video piece exploring multiple modes of rendering a poem (writing, speaking) combined with different ways of looking at water.

“Drifting: Memory Space” was a collaboration with Anita Cheng dance group and featured choreography based on GPS drawings as well as a web site.

“Satellite Site Drawings” was a collaboration with Andrea DiCasto at the (Mexican) National Center for the Arts utilized aircraft-based tracings of GPS drawings.

“Global Positioning Series #4” includes several computer-based explorations of three-dimensional texture-mapped photographs driven by recorded GPS data of hikes in the Canadian Rockies.

“Seeing Around” featured several b&w government aerial photographs under glass plates, silk cord and hardware.
At Close Range
New London, 1995
“At Close Range” featured etched copper plates (with a William Morris wallpaper design) with a saline solution dripping from a flask. Over time, a patina formed on the plates, obscuring the plate etchings.
