Awful Waffle! Awful Waffle!
so i figured before i got into my standard rant about politics and what's wrong with society today i would actually oblige the purpose of this blog and update you about my life after connecticut college.
law school is ongoing and fun as ever, sarcasm doesn't come across well through written word. this week marks my first week back since spring break, which was uneventful but relaxing and needed. before break i had to hand in an appellate brief, which was my grandest legal writing assignment today. in basic everyday terms i had to write what an attorney would argue for a case on appeal. i thought i did well, but only time will tell. now that im back i have two weeks of classes left before a two week study period and then exams (aka what determines my grades for the semester)
in addition to law school i am continuing my ongoing plan to dominate all forms of medium in society. as i have mentioned in previous entries i am currently working on a grand music experimental project. i've been working on this project for some months now, but it often takes a necessary back seat to my legal studies. with the summer rapidly approaching however i am hoping i can dedicate more time to it. i haven't told you what the it is yet but i know your holding on to the edge of your seat with excitement. without going into too much detail (ill save that for a later entry) im attempting a live DJ/music performance/mashup type thingy (very descriptive i know). ill be combining tracks from popular/electronic/indie artists (like a traditional DJ) with live percussion, keyboards, and vocals (someone elses, not mine don't worry). it's hard to draw parallels to an existent performer, but the people i can most think i'd "mimic" (if you can call it that) is TRV$ DJAM (travis barker and DJ AM) and PNAU (awesome australian band). it'll be awesome and groovy tunes for your ears so i'll post more about it as it progresses.
i did say however id be tackling all forms of medium. in addition to my music endeavors i had a random stroke of genius the other day while sitting in my apartment. this stroke of genius after about five hours turned into about 100 pages of a script. and not to inflate my own ego more than it already is id say its a pretty damn good script so far. its a summer type movie akin to "wet hot american summer" but it focuses on a specific group/entity as in "waiting". more to come later, but so far ill say i have all the funny scenes written out (all flowing out of the creative spark), now i just have to write the actual substance (aka boring shit to make a story as opposed to a movie being an hour of funny shit that doesn't connect, aka a long episode of family guy). that would then complete my film producer aspiration (the DJing thing would fulfill the music producer goal).
okay before i ramble about my life anymore, time for a small political/social rant. it'll be short as i just realized ive already written a lot not on purpose. if i had to give a name to this little rant itd have to be "the quiet before the storm". that's what i think we're experiencing right now. im not simply talking about a horrendous economic outlook, im talking about the world/the united states/society as a whole. soaking in what has happened in the past few months i think society and the government are on a downward spiral that is going to take all of us with it (and these ideas aren't the product of watching too much crazy glenn beck). although some might say we've hit rock bottom in the economy, shit is looking up, the stimulus is gonna work, that might be nice but there's no evidence to support any of those claims. instead i see an angry nation, and an angry nation is a dangerous thing. a class war is coming and although it is not the sole product of the government, i think they had a major supporting role in bringing about its inception. the differences among "social classes" has been "exposed" (if you can call it that) and many groups are inciting a revolt amongst the "poor, underrepresented, and minorities" (i use quotations because those individuals the groups are referring to are way more than what the groups are stereotyping them out to be). per my early political/social rants, socialism does not work. in no society is everyone equal, in no existence can all people actually be totally equal and have the same amount of power, same amount of money, same amount of responsibility, same amount of influence, same amount of governance. its impossible. its a great idea, it'd be a perfect utopia, but it is just that a nonexistent utopia. and my friends there is evidence to support that. look at any society that has tried to institute a socialist society. (see what i did there, i said there was no evidence to support ludicrous claims before, then i made a logical assertion and supported it with a claim of evidence, id provide the actual evidence but then my entry would be really long, and you can all look it up, here ill give you one example to get you going Zimbabwe or the soviet union, that's actually two examples)
okay thats enough crazy talk from me for one day. ill reappear in a couple of weeks with more exciting nonsense for you all to decipher until then. ill leave you with an animation from arrested development (godzilla!!)

oh and five points for anyone who recognized awful waffle! was from salute your shorts.
