She/he finds volunteers to help schedule yearly events such as Harvest Fest. This lucky person is our liaison to the deans and to the faculty. This person finds people to help with web design. The two most important things are keeping in contact with all the other directors. Does research regarding equipment, researches and presents\posts information about outside organizations, workshops, mailings.
Directs finances, finds volunteers to help with fundraising events, submits all receipts, keeps members informed about the budget.
Places ads in Daily CONNtact, advertises via posters, directs chalking etc about workshops, learns basic web design, handles logistics of events, and researches clubs interests.
Keeps minutes. After Pre-meeting type out agenda and brings 4 copies to next meeting. He/She takes the minutes at the meetings and busts out an email of them and also of weekend trips decided at the meeting.
Organizes trips to rock climbing gym weekly if possible, cares for and evaluates equipment, leads demos and workshops whenever possible. Maintains contact with AC rock climbing director.
Organizes workshops, leads kayaking excursions whenever possible, contacts local kayak companies, maintains contact with CC kayaking instructors.
builds and maintains lines of open communication with the other environmental organizations SAVE and Renewable Energy Club and environmental coordinators in the community. He/She also creates and supports environmental activities that occur on campus; some examples being: America Recycles Day and Earth Day. He/She is in charge of organizing recycling at all CCOC events.
Has an interest in biking, maintains contact with Conn. Pedals club, builds a library of biking maps, and leads biking excursions whenever possible. |
